Hi, I’m Kristi!

Musician, podcast host, and virtual assistant.

I help busy music and creative entrepreneurs plan, launch, and manage podcasts so they can focus on what matters most - telling their story and connecting with their audience.

When I started Broken Glass Media, it wasn’t just a blog and podcast for women in music. I wanted to highlight women in the industry to let others know that they could take control of their own careers, and in turn, I let myself know the same thing.

Now I get to immerse myself in the music and creative industries, connect with industry professionals, and watch others grow their careers and businesses because of what I do for them.

Learn about how we can work together to plan and launch a podcast that allows you to tell your story and connect with your audience.

Alright alright alright, but...

Who Am I?

Garden State Horse Show 2013

I was born in Canada, raised in New Jersey, and currently reside in Los Angeles, California. I'm an avid reader and learner, equestrian, gluten-free vegan, fitness nut, and most importantly am obsessed with music. So much so, that I have not one, but two degrees in music industry.

Music has been a significant part of my life since I was young, but growing up on the east coast with access to both Philadelphia and New York City gave me the opportunity to frequent concerts of all kinds, from the basement shows in Northeast Philadelphia to the famed venues of New York City.

I fell in love with the industry, and soon completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business at Lebanon Valley College

MA Music Industry Administration

After several years of struggling to start a career in the industry, I left New Jersey and moved to the west coast to complete a Master of Arts degree in Music Industry Administration at the California State University, Northridge. I was offered my first full-time job in the industry as soon as I arrived in Los Angeles and gained more knowledge and experience than I could have ever hoped for.

But I wanted something more. I wanted to be involved in other aspects of the industry, to watch companies grow from the start up, to help other people become successful in the industry. I also wanted to create a lifestyle I desired, and build my career on my own terms.

Then I found a book you may have heard of:  You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome life by Jen Sincero

The Entrepreneurial Mindset

That one book was all it took for the wheels to start turning. I was hooked on the idea of entrepreneurship, universal energy, and finding my own path. I felt drawn to helping women in music find their voice after the release of the USC Annenberg Inclusion in the Recording Studio? report and the 2018 Grammy Awards (#Grammysomale) and launched The Broken Glass Blog followed a few months later by The Broken Glass Podcast.

Who am I to help women in music find their voice? Who am I to provide the tools and resources to succeed?

This will surprise some people who know me now, but I never thought I had the entrepreneurial bug or thought it was possible to create and run my own business. Yes, I took entrepreneurship courses in school and developed business plans for mock businesses, but I always thought I had to create a physical product or something huge that would affect the masses.

It wasn’t until I started listening to entrepreneur podcasts, met other women with their own businesses, and read business books that I realized - it doesn’t have to be the next big thing, but I could start small and help people grow and scale their own careers.

I took all my limiting beliefs, silenced the voice in my head, and pushed forward because someone has to share these stories, create a network of collaborative women, and help women find success in the industry.

So…what can I do for you?

I am a customer service guru and creative at heart. I’ve held customer service jobs since my first gig as a cashier at age 16. And customer service isn’t just about making people happy - it’s picking up all kinds of small tasks that help the company, communicating the customer voice to supervisors and marketing teams, and being 100% flexible in the job. Now, I’m the Senior Customer Service Manager at my 9-5 and can add managerial experience to my resume.

I also dive into creative side projects, including photography, web design, and social media graphic design.

But how will this help you? I can:

  • Take an idea and turn it into a full fledged podcast

  • Take the day-to-day tasks of podcast management off your plate so you can focus on what matters most

  • And much much more!
